BAR NANAIt was called "Living Bar" before but the admnistation changed in Novembre 2006. They have a live band and a DJ. Arrive at 11PM because there are a lot of people around midnight. There is a pool table a the entrance. It is located in the Ratchabruk Hotel. It's one of the only bar CLOSING AT 4 PM !!! (With maybe "update" and some secret other places...). Google EarthLIVING BARThey are now located beside the Boss Hotel, near RCS. It was probably the most popular bar in Nakhon Ratchasima in 2007. You can even smoke sisha. Good music, closing late. They have Mellon Ball, Galliano and some other interestings flavors! Near Pailin square, after blue pavilion, at the next intersection, beside Raya Grand Hotel. It's after the Dusit Princess Hotel, same road..Google EarthFUN FACTORYPopular bar in Nakhon Ratchasima, kind of disco with a band and no dance floor. Loud music. Good place to meet other people.... Google Earth (THE FUN FACTORY IS CLOSED AROUND MAY 2008) TONY's restaurant and BarBrand new in Korat (2008). They have a selection of foreign food, a bar, a restaurant, and some excellent German bread, daily made by Dirk. They also served cheap Thai food and SNAKE!!! Have a look at the place here. U-BARProbably the one of the most popular bar right now (October 2008) but recently, the police seems to want this place to shut down at midnight... U-Bar is a chain of bars. There is one in Ubon Ratchatani (very nice place) and there is another one in Khon Kaen beside the Sofitel hotel. In Korat, U-Bar opened in 2008 and is located beside Pegasus hotel.
AFTERIt was called "update before". This place opens up to very late (5 am?) and attracts a young crowd, 20-35 yo that wants to party when all the bars close in Korat. It's one of the best place to visit after 2am. Music is a mix of hip hop, dance and Thai songs. Alcohol is served even after 2am. Google EarthBULE SALOON (บูเล่ ซาลูน)264 Yommarat Rd., MaungThis place is a Korat institution with live music every day. Large selection of food and drinks, good music and nice environment. Have a look at their website. BALU'S (บาลูส์)176 Mahatthai Rd., Tel. 044-289031 COYOTE or MATRIXProbably the only place in town that is similar to a "gogo bar". There is a samll stage, girls are dancing, there are poles, and they take off clothes. You can invite some of them after the bar close. It's located just beside the Panjadara Hotel.
AFTERHOURSIt's illegal to buy alcohol at these hours in Thailand and we should not post or encourage it. We do NOT. But it's possible at these Thai places: - After (before called Update) in front of RCA. Now, these places are constantly changing, closing, opening. FOR FULL BODY MASSAGEPAILIN SQUARE (ไพลินสแควร์)Can't miss it. Opposite Sima Thani Hotel, Near Da wan Deang, our sources told us it's 1950 baht. Third floor, near the cafe.GINZAIf front of Klang Plaza 2, this bowl fish has a large selection of sushi. Again, we "heard" prices are between 1000 to 1800, depending if you prefer salmon or trout. It's near Fun Factory and there is a quiet snooker place just beside. Google EarthOSAKAThe oldest and cheapest place in town. Also called the "Japanese embassy". We read somewhere that prices are around 900 baht. We were told this place opened bad in the days were the Americans has a base in Nakhon Ratchasima during the VietNam war. Google EarthPEGASUS (พีกาซัส)Popular with Japanese guys, it has the best reputation in town. A Japanese (not sure, maybe from Singapore?) told us it's around 1950 baht. It's on the top floor of a large hotel.Google Earth There are other places in town, not very difficult to find.
