Many small hotels can be found in Korat but some of them are smelly and humid. They will normally ask 140 to 200 baht for a night. Avoid some hotels near the park: they attract prostitution and can be noisy.

This is a popular spot for backpackers (There aren't a lot in Korat) as it's in Lonely Planet guide. But there are only around 5 rooms and it's in a small soi, behind Pailin Square. Rooms are about 200-350 baht.

This place is run by a charming Thai family and has clean rooms. For around 500 baht, you will get air con, TV and fridge. Parking behind, cafe on the first floor.

CHAO PHRAYA INN (เจ้าพระยา อินน์)

For 490 baht or a little more, you get a really nice room here, just beside Klang Plaza 2! Nicer rooms for 1000 and 1500 baht are also avaliable. This big yellow hotel (99 rooms) is really nice and has a great location. Click on the website to see pictures but it's only in Thai. They also have Internet, a Japanese restaurant, a karaoke bar, etc. Google Earth

SIRI HOTEL ( (ศิริ)

Completely renovated in 2007, this hotel is quite nice now for the price. Rooms are about 390 baht to 650. Click on their website for pictures, reservations, etc.

Maybe not the best place because of its location. However, Sima Thani and Dusit Royal Princess are also a little bit out of the city. Rooms seem to be a little bit expensive if you compare to the other places and the quality of Sima Thani or Dusit Royal Princess.

This place was a Sheraton before and it’s one of the two best hotels in Korat. It has a nice buffet dinner for around 250-280 baht. Rooms are between 1400 and up. Swimming pool, gym, conference room, etc. It is located in the west part of the city, not really a good location but the other one, Korat Princess Hotel has the same problem! Google Earth\
